Rivergate strengthens industry leadership with 2026 AIMEX Board appointment

Rivergate Marina and Shipyard Director Tom Hill has officially been appointed to the 2026 AIMEX Board.

Rivergate Marina and Shipyard has strengthened its influence in the Australian marine sector with Director Tom Hill officially appointed on the 2026 Board of the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX). Tom succeeds Steve Fisher, who retired after a distinguished tenure representing Rivergate and the Australian superyacht industry.

Steve Fisher’s contribution to AIMEX-Superyacht Australia was significant. Appointed to the board in 2019, Steve brought decades of expertise in superyacht operations, design, and refits, and has been a prominent figure at international yacht shows and industry conferences. During his time on the board, he championed initiatives that highlighted Australia’s potential as a superyacht destination, pointing to the industry’s ability to create thousands of local jobs and contribute significantly to gross domestic product.

Reflecting on his appointment, Tom Hill said: "It's a privilege to serve on the AIMEX Board and to continue the incredible work Steve Fisher has done over the past few years.

The new AIMEX Board, formed following the organisation’s Annual General Meeting earlier this month, combines seasoned industry leaders with fresh perspectives, positioning AIMEX to drive the growth and global competitiveness of Australia’s marine industry.

AIMEX President Jeremy Spear, AIMEX President said the refreshed Board is set to drive AIMEX’s ongoing evolution and success.
